With the development of science and technology, the relationship between humanity and nature has been changing all the time. We humans to seem have more power over nature and have more ability to interfere in the natural environment.

Nature, explores the tension between humanity and nature, and tries to depict humanity’s destruction of nature in a subtle and allegorical way. Photo prints of landscape are used as the subject of the camera and as a  metaphor of nature at the same time. Various approaches are used to “torture” the prints, mirroring how we humans manipulate and “torture” nature. The beauty and serenity in the landscape contrasts sharply with the cruel poor situation of our real world, which makes nature seem more fragile and vulnerable.  The landscape is like a toy for humans, no longer timeless, wild or immortal.

This work not only aims to present the beauty of nature and to address the destruction of the environment, but also to invite viewers to reflect on our relationship with nature.
